Communique about the night actions against the G4S

g4s

This night, premises and vehicles belonging to G4S have been attacked on several places in Stockholm.

After 66 years of expulsion, 47 years of occupation and 7 years of blockade, Israel has started another aggressive war against the trapped Palestinian people in the Gaza strip. The worlds 4th biggest military power is now furiously bombing a small area where 1,8 million people live, over half of them are under the age of 18.

When the bombs are falling and the tanks are rolling in, the people have nowhere to run. Israel’s attack is levelling houses, hospitals and all infrastructures with the ground. The blockade makes any reconstruction impossible. The occupation and apartheid is made possible through the shameful silence of politicians all over the world and a couple of greedy companies which have no doubts to participate in the crimes.
One of those companies is G4S.

G4S is guarding settlements on stolen land, infrastructure and surveillance around check-points and the apartheid wall. They also take care of transportation of political prisoners from occupied ground to Israel, a violation of the Genève convention. Companies in Sweden which use the services of G4S are aware about all these. We demand all companies that have contracts with G4S to end those immediately.

Companies as G4S and others are making the occupation and apartheid possible, and they should not think they can act in safety here. There are numerous companies that profit from the occupation, and we support every initiative that strikes them.

It´s up to all of us, who oppose what´s going on in Palestine, to act.

We salute the Palestinian resistance, and we take on the struggle where it´s needed.

Freedom for Palestine
Boycott the Zionist state Israel
End contacts with G4S

INTERNATIONAL ACTIVIST MEETING “Connecting European Struggles” 22-23-24 August 2014, LUND, SWEDEN

affisch

Europe has been gripped by a common problem: the crisis. The crisis has proletarianized a huge part of the southern European working class with the political support or tolerance of the European Union and the IMF. Unemployment has reached severe levels, particularly for youngsters, a fact that is true both in Sweden and in the rest of the EU. Public services have been cut down which has affected the social security of millions of people. As a result, thousands of Europeans had to take refuge in the nuclear family which also serves to reproduce traditional gender roles. At the same time, wage increases have in many places slowed to a halt or been cut. The crisis has also incubated and gave birth to a new racist offspring while it created space for old fascist subjects. The whole European continent is for one more time contaminated by the plague of fascism against immigrants, homosexuals, Muslims, disabled people, and all those who ‘interrupt’ and struggle against the racist European normalcy.

A deck full of jokers – european action week 15-25th of May: Report from Sweden

well

A wide range of organisations have called for a common European action week 15-25th of may 2014 just before the coming EU elections. We, autonomous activists who are now part of the 365-campaign believe that it is an important arena for the Swedish movement as a whole and the 365-campaign in particular.

The call is coming from the German ‘blockupy’ network which is a transeuropean collaboration which also has contacts, for example, in North Africa. Blockupy has previously organised demonstrations before the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. It attempts to move the struggle against the troika (EU, ECB and IMF) from the Mediterranean nations into the ‘heart of the beast.’ We share the ambition to struggle together against politics of austerity and to organise internationally.

Turkey: Mehmet Istif is dead, murdered by the state

Mehmet Istif, a Gezi protester from Mersin who has been battling with tongue cancer for over 9 months has just lost his life. He wasn’t a victim of a disease, but a victim of the state that has been seeking remedies to suppress mass protests with chemical weapons. Mehmet Istif was sprayed pepper gas into his mouth at close range by the Turkish police, intentionally. It is yet another state murder. Nantes: Call for a demo and decentralized actions of solidarity against repression of the anti-airport movement

On February 22nd, 2014, more than 50,000 people gathered in Nantes for the biggest anti-airport demonstration ever. As it was declared illegal by the prefecture, it quickly faced stunning repression; hundreds of over-armed cops surrounded the demo while a huge anti-riot wall blocked the central street of the city (le cours des 50 otages). It was the first time in Nantes’ social struggles history that a demo couldn’t pass by there. Politicians and media talked about “lootings” and “devastations”, deploring the violence after a group of demonstrators attempted to walk the original route.

17-mai

However, the Power and its accomplices failed to mention the extreme ferocity in the crackdown on this demonstration. On February 22nd, hundreds of people were hurt by police weapons. At least three of them lost an eye from rubber-bullet shots. A lot of people breathed tear gas, were shaken up from stun grenades, or wounded from dispersion grenades, or repulsed by water cannons. Letter from the convicted antifascist #freejoel

antifa stockholm

So, today the verdict will fall. The question is if it will be in proportion to what happened in the Stockholm suburb of Kärrtorp? Will it be in proportion to the verdicts that were delivered to the nazis? Probably not. The prosecutor have called for a 7 year punishment. This is the very same prosecutor who was happy with a few months of jail-time for the Nazis who attacked the peaceful manifestation. The same prosecutor who, in the closing argument, said that it was enough to ask people to go to a peaceful manifestation to be judged as a leader. Athens, Greece: Solidarity with the arrestees of ASOEE

In the last month the police have been showing off their power in the university of ASOEE. Everyday, all kinds of cops stand around the university in order to frighten us and make us stop selling on the pavement in front of ASOEE. As the municipal elections are approaching, the candidates are trying to prove who will be the most effective in “restoring the order in the centre of Athens”, who will be stricter towards us, the immigrants, towards the students and everybody who stands everyday next to us.
