Patras [22:44] There have been 20 detentions overall. So far 13 persons have been released and the remaining 7 are expected to be released as well. Latest update from the trapped part of the demonstration in Iroon Polytechniou: it turned out to be approximately 300 protesters. The cops didn’t let them leave threatning them that they will attack unless they leave in groups of five people. The protesters didn’t give in and managed to continue and complete their demonstration in Olgas square.

Athens [22.17] Random detentions in Akadimias st. in conjuction with Kaningos st. Around 100 undercover cops are gathered there detaining almost anyone passing by. In Themistokleous st. there are approximately 70 undercover cops most of them rating no more than 20years old.

Patras [21.52]PROTESTERS CALL: Approximately 150 people trapped in Iroon Polytechniou st. The cops are forbidding them to move forward. They are threatning them that they will let them leave only in groups of five people! Let’s remind that this is the part of the demonstration that the cops earlier had chased and had ended up in the Panachaiki football field.

Athens [21.06] The National news agency of Greece (APE-MPE) is describing today’s protest as: “The demonstration for the Polytechnic anniversary is smoothly completed. Main roads and metro stations are open. Few minor clashes in Eksarchia. The demonstration for the 40 years of the Polytechnic didn’t involve any violent disorder. In the meantime the agency is broadcasting the new austerity measures in view of the meeting with the Troika. The greatness of “objective” media.
Athens [21.06] Generalised repressive operation in Eksarchia with injuries, detentions, arrests and bullying dozens of people. The detentions have reached 149 till now and two arrests.
Patras [21.00] One part of the demonstration was urged by cops to the Panachaiki football field. The distance is very far from the city center where the demonstrations take place. The protesters are trying to find a way to return to the city center. Police presence is evident in the surrounding streets.
